Musical Graffiti

My last release (The Musical Graffiti EP) was over a year ago. Ironically the Beatport release date (8.19) was the same day I left to Ibiza this summer which I took as a huge sign of inspiration. However, by no means was the last year wasted as a great deal of time went into researching, acquiring, and assembling my ideal studio setup. The Lost and Found EP is my first pass working in the studio under a new process and equipped with the new gear.

Memorable Changes was completed before Ibiza and was intended to capture the essence of a new beginning at life. An intentional slow building ride, this track’s environment introduces positive vibes in a subtle way captured by my temperamental legato playing style.

Memory is to found as forgotten is to lost… and with that the B side of the EP was born; Forgotten Evils. Produced after my Ibiza experience this track was set to contradict Memorable Changes but stay consistent enough to pair up as a package as well.

Reflecting on my moments on the dance floor in the terraces of DC-10, Amnesia, and Space… Forgotten Evils was my first cut at replicating the sound I was most influenced by when on the white isle.

So this is Lost and Found. The girl you lost dancing with at Amnesia, and the smiles and good times you hang on to from DC-10… but also the new corner you found on the dance floor in the terrace at Space or the nude beach you discovered in Formenterra where you will surely find love one day soon. Till then… see you on the dance floor!
